A police community support officer has been charged with stealing £15,000 from passengers while on duty at Gatwick Airport.
Sussex Police said the PCSO, Alexis Scott, 39, of High Grove, London, was arrested and questioned over the allegations in may.
She has been charged with seven counts of theft and one count of misconduct in a public office. She will appear at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on 2nd September.
PCSOs do not have the same powers as regular police officers but will usually patrol a beat, interact with the public, and will deal with minor offences.
