Boeing777-300ER new colours
For all you boy band fans out there, British outfit, Blue, have reunited for the launch of American Airlines’ new ‘Blue’ aircraft.
The popular boy band cut the ceremonial ribbon of the new Boeing 777-300ER at Heathrow to celebrate the unveiling of American Airlines’ new colours after an impressive 40 years with the previous logo.
The airline has kept the silver it’s so well known for, but incorporated this with brighter colors, an “updated eagle” peeking out from a ribbon, a more contemporary font and bold red-white-and-blue stripes for its fleet’s tails.
Tom Horton, American’s Chairman and CEO said:”Since placing our landmark aircraft order in July of 2011, we’ve been building anticipation toward a moment in time when the outside of our aircraft reflects the progress we’ve made to modernize our airline on the inside.”
The aircraft also boasts new ‘mood’ lighting, complimentary wi-fi during March, and a walk up bar for premium cabin customers.
And what of the band? They jetted off to Dallas and LA to film a new music video and to star in the guilty pleasure of a TV show, ‘The Big Reunion’; a programme for those of us feeling nostalgic over the pop bands of our youth as they re-group and gear up for a reunion tour.
