New Zealand flights begin to resume
November 22nd, 2012 by elisa

The Mount Tongariro ash cloud is clearing after yesterday’s eruption and flights to Rotorua have restarted.

Taupo and Gisborne airports are reported to still be experiencing delays and cancellations to flights, but are predicted to resume normal operations later on today. Adjustments to Air New Zealand flight paths have been made to avoid any contact with the ash, and the airline is in regular contact with the Civil Aviation Authority and other related authorities to keep up to date with the ash cloud’s predicted movements.

Passengers are still advised to check the Air New Zealand website for the latest flight information.
