‘Hug a Pilot’ criticised
October 31st, 2011 by elisa

Dubbed the ‘Hug a Pilot’ scheme, British Airways has been criticised for it’s attempt to promote good working relationships between cabin crew and pilots. BA have encouraged cabin crew to socialise with pilots on foreign trips as part of the airline’s Safety Equipment Procedures training programme, as reported in The Sun newspaper.

BA believe the move will help the vibe on board for passengers as they feel the bond between the crew, especially after the period of industrial disputes. However, cabin crew have not reacted well to the advise, heavily criticising it on internet forums.
