Ryanair back to Manchester
January 26th, 2011 by elisa

Ryanair returns to Manchester airport this year by adding four new routes. This is a u-turn as the airline axed nine routes little over a year ago because the airport refused to reduce its landing fees. The new routes are from Manchester to Alicante, Faro, Madrid and Tenerife.

Today’s decision will safeguard 600 jobs in the Manchester area, according to Ryanair. It has also increased frequencies on its Manchester to Dublin service from four to six daily flights  and it is launching a new twice weekly flight from Humberside to Alicante, starting on April 12.

All the new flights go on sale tomorrow (27th January).
