Possible new BA strike over bullying and harassment
June 8th, 2010 by elisa

A further British Airways crew walk-out could happen in mid-July as union Unite have started to hold discussions over terms for a further strike ballot. It’s believed that bullying and harassment could be factors for this new possible strike; BA vehemently denies this.

Speaking at the IATA conference in Berlin BA Chief Executive Willie Walsh said Unite had failed to ground BA, with more staff than the union had expected coming to work.

He said: “”We flew over 72,000 customers on a day of strike by Unite and, as I say, they have failed. They have failed in their efforts.”

A decision on a new strike ballot is expected tomorrow (Wednesday).
